Cornell Elementary School

Welcome to our Cornell website!  For those of you who are new to Cornell, you are joining a community that takes great pride in our diversity and demonstrates a commitment to excellence in education.  We have a talented staff that really cares about our students.  We work closely together so that our students develop a love of learning, build strong character, and meet their academic goals through meaningful, relevant, and rigorous learning experiences.

I am dedicated to making sure your child’s learning experience is a positive one.  Our skilled teaching faculty is committed to providing every child at Cornell with the best educational experience possible.  As a high performing school, Cornell students and families should be proud of the academic successes that our students have shown every year. 

Along with our outstanding teachers and staff, we are fortunate to have a wonderfully supportive parent community.  Serving as an integral part of our community, the Cornell PTA provides our students with essential instructional materials, enrichment activities in the classroom, and offers fun community building events throughout the year.  I encourage you to become a member of the PTA and offer your participation to one or more of the many volunteer opportunities available at Cornell.  Please review our volunteer requirements and pick up an application in the office or get one from the district website.

Please read the Parent Handbook, which contains essential information about your child’s experience at Cornell.  You will receive information on a regular basis through notices and the Cornell Chronicle, our school newsletter.  Thank you for carefully reading these publications.  Communication between school and home is critical to your child’s success. 

I am honored to have the privilege to serve the Cornell community.   Working together, we provide a rich academic program that offers all of our students the opportunity to be successful.  Through our work, we will continue to make a difference in the lives of our children.
